UNDP works for sustainable development in Pakistan

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Pakistan issued its July 2019 newsletter covering its engagement in an array of development partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders both national and international, working together in all phases of the development cycle, from programne design, implementation, review and revision, to lessons learned and best practices in Pakistan.

This year’s report titled as ‘‘Development Matters: UNDP in Pakistan’’ encompasses the achievements of UNDP Pakistan in different realms such as climate change, eco-system ecology, human development, law and order and socio-economic issues.

The UNDP, a United Nations’ global development network, working in collaboration with national and international partners. They play a crucial role in promoting and financing strategies that will help developing countries to achieve their national development goals.

The sub-body of the UN is working for the greater inclusion of gender minorities with Pakistani society.

It raises multiple issues faced by the gender communities, range from basic issues such as recognition of their identity, access to opportunities, healthcare, psycho-social support, gainful employment, engagement opportunities, justice, and most importantly, the need to promote respect and freedom.
