San Fransisco, 17 June, 2023 (GNP): Twitter, Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) today announced plans to focus on video and commerce as part of a broader business revamp.
The company, which is now led by new CEO Linda Yaccarino, said it is in early conversations with political and entertainment figures, payments services, and news and media publishers to develop new partnerships that will drive growth beyond digital advertising.
“Twitter is a unique platform that has the potential to reach a global audience with both video and commerce,” said Yaccarino. “We are excited to build on our strengths and create new opportunities for creators, businesses, and users.”

As part of the revamp, Twitter will be making several changes to its platform. The company will be rolling out new features that make it easier for users to create and share videos, and it will be investing in new tools that help businesses sell products and services on Twitter.
Twitter is also planning to launch a new payments platform that will allow users to send and receive money directly through the app.
The company believes that this will make it easier for users to buy and sell goods and services on Twitter, and it will also open up new opportunities for creators to monetize their content.
“We believe that video and commerce are the two key areas where Twitter can grow its business in the years to come,” said Yaccarino. We are committed to investing in these areas and creating a platform that is both entertaining and useful for our users.”
