Tajikistan Invites Pakistani Textile Firms to Build Direct Ties

Faisalabad (GNP): Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Yusuf Sharifzoda, has met the leadership of the Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) to explore deeper trade in textiles. He held the meeting on Monday, November 2, during a working visit to Faisalabad.

He met PTEA Chairman Rehan Naseem Bharara, and representatives of several Pakistani textile companies also joined the talks. Their presence gave the discussion a direct link to the business community.

The two sides covered the development of the textile industry and the current state of the textile market. They also discussed opportunities to expand trade and economic cooperation. A key point on the agenda was setting up direct business contacts between textile companies in Tajikistan and Pakistan.

To support that goal, the ambassador briefed participants on Tajikistan’s economic and investment potential. He spoke about the country’s business climate, its industrial capacity and the prospects for cooperation in the textile sector.
