Islamabad (GNP): Sweden’s Arvid Nordquist emerged title winner at the McDonald’s Pakistan ITF Championship 2026 (ITF M-15 Leg-2), defeating Pakistan’s Muhammad Shoaib in a gripping three-set final at the PTF Tennis Complex.
Nordquist showed great composure to defeat the home favourite 7-5, 3-6, 7-6(3) in a thrilling final of the international tournament.
The closing ceremony was attended by Alexandra Berg von Linde as the chief guest, while Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi joined as the guest of honour.
Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) is pleased to announce that the McDonald’s Pakistan ITF Championship 2026 (ITF M-15 Leg-2) concluded successfully at the PTF Tennis Complex.

A total of 86 men’s players from 22 countries participated in this prestigious international event. The participating nations included Pakistan, Kuwait, Russia, Uzbekistan, Sweden, Morocco, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Italy, Lithuania, China, Türkiye, Algeria, Canada, Ireland, Poland, Hong Kong, Greece, Lebanon, Germany, France, and Japan.
In the men’s singles final, Arvid Nordquist of Sweden defeated Pakistan’s Muhammad Shoaib 7-5, 3-6, 7-6(3) to win the McDonald’s Pakistan ITF Championship 2026 (ITF M-15 Leg-2).
Alexandra Berg von Linde, Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan, was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony, while Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, was the Guest of Honour.

Other distinguished guests who attended the final included Natalie A. Baker, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the United States in Islamabad; Senator Salim Saifullah Khan, Patron of PTF; Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Secretary of the Ministry of IPC; Nicolas Verdun, General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel Islamabad; Matt Cannell, British Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan; and Aamir Malik, COO of McDonald’s Pakistan.
Also present were Col. Zia-ud-din Tufail, Secretary-General of PTF; Major Suleman Junaid, SEVP-PTF; Zaira Ahmed Zaka, VP-PTF; Col. Gul Rehman, Director C&S PTF; and members of the affiliated units of the Pakistan Tennis Federation.
Representatives from sponsoring organisations, including McDonald’s Pakistan, OGDC, Coca-Cola, Honda Pakistan, and Bahria Foundation, were also in attendance, alongside a large number of tennis fans, parents, players, and coaches.
