PTA Urges Enabling Free Balance Save Service

PTA

Islamabad (GNP ): Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) advises mobile consumers to remain cautious about unintended balance deductions that may occur when data bundles expire or are exhausted, while mobile internet continues on higher Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) rates.

To prevent such charges, Cellular Mobile Operators offer a free Balance Save (PayG Blocker) service, which automatically stops internet usage once the bundle is finished, protecting the user’s remaining balance.

Consumers are encouraged to activate this service by dialing: *275# (Jazz), *4004# (Zong), *6611# (Ufone), and *342# (Telenor). PTA remains committed to protecting consumer interests and ensuring transparency in telecom services.
