Islamabad, 14 April 2023 (GNP): In a telephone conversation on Sunday, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on the historic Iran-Saudi Arabia deal and discussed various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The congratulatory message came after Iran and Saudi Arabia announced a breakthrough agreement to restore diplomatic relations, following years of tension and conflict in the region.
During the conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Raisi discussed ways to further enhance bilateral ties between Iran and Pakistan, particularly in the areas of trade, energy, and regional cooperation. Both leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the ongoing conflict in Occupied Palestine where the Israeli forces attacked worshippers in Al-Aqsa Mosques that left 12 Palestinians injured.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also invited President Raisi to visit Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
