16th April 2020 (GNP): PM Imran Khan has emphasized the unprecedented global health and economic crisis in developing countries and had mentioned that developing countries would be the hardest hit because of the Virus while talking to the German Chancellor.
During the call, he discussed the ability of the global south to overcome the coronavirus challenges depends on the urgent debt relief for developing countries without putting further conditions.
He expressed hope that countries such as Germany and the UN would provide
direction to the issue, in the forthcoming G-20 Finance Ministers Meeting and the Spring Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank (GNP).
