Islamabad, 14 September, 2023(GNP): Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Turkiye across various sectors, including trade, agriculture, energy, mining, IT, and defense.
During a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Mehmet Pacaci, the prime minister highlighted Pakistan’s eagerness to attract foreign investors, with the establishment of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) aimed at creating new and appealing investment opportunities in key sectors.
In addition to their strong and enduring bilateral ties, Pakistan and Turkiye collaborate closely on regional and multilateral matters, including joint efforts to combat Islamophobia.

PM Kakar also expressed his gratitude for Turkiye’s reconstruction efforts following the tragic earthquake in February 2023 and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to providing all possible support to the Turkish people.
Prime minister also extended his appreciation to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish leadership for their warm congratulatory messages upon his assumption of office.

He highlighted the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and fraternal bonds between the people of both the countries, noting that President Erdogan enjoyed significant popularity in Pakistan, akin to his own country.
Kakar commended Turkiye for its unwavering and longstanding support to Pakistan regarding the Jammu and Kashmir issue. The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to fostering stronger ties and collaborative efforts across various domains.
