Pakistan’s firm stance on Israel-Palestine conflict

Islamabad, 28 September, 2023 (GNP): Federal Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani reiterated Pakistan’s stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict during a press conference.

He emphasized that the Palestinian issue should be resolved according to the wishes of the Palestinian people, and Pakistan’s position remains consistent with the past.

Jilani expressed deep concern about the serious human rights violations occurring in Palestine and stressed the importance of recognizing Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of Palestine.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar played an active role in various conferences during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

He engaged in productive bilateral meetings with the presidents of Iran and Uzbekistan, as well as the vice-president of China during his visit to the United States.

Jilani himself participated in approximately 20 bilateral meetings and attended a conference focused on addressing climate change-related damages. He also joined a meeting of the US-Pakistani Business Council.

The minister highlighted his participation in meetings such as the OIC Contact Group for Jammu and Kashmir, where strong support for the Kashmiri people and condemnation of Indian forces’ aggression were expressed. The demand for resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions was also emphasized.
