Pakistan’s ambassador to Jordon presented his credentials to King Abdullah

Amman, 6 December, 2023 (GNP): Pakistan’s recently appointed ambassador to Jordon Major-General Muhammad Ajmal Iqbal (r) presented his credentials to King Abdullah King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordon.

A week earlier Ambassador presented copy of his credentials to Jordon’s Secretary General for Foreign Affairs & Expatriates Majed T. Alqatarneh.

Before assuming his post in Jordan, the designated ambassador held a meeting with President Arif Alvi on November 26th.

During the meeting, the President directed the ambassador to bolster fraternal ties with Jordan, focusing on areas such as trade, economy, culture, and people-to-people contacts. He also tasked the ambassador with working towards advancing the mutual interests of both countries.

President Alvi emphasized the deep-seated, brotherly bilateral relations between Pakistan and Jordan.

He highlighted Pakistan’s appreciation for its ties with Jordan’s Hashemite Kingdom, grounded in shared religion, culture, and history.

Furthermore, the President stressed the significance of consistent high-level diplomatic exchanges between the two nations, including engagements by parliamentary delegations.

He advocated for bilateral political consultations and Joint Ministerial Commissions to enhance socio-political and economic ties.
