Moscow, 15 December, 2023 (GNP): In response to an invitation extended by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister A. Rudenko, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe), is currently on an official visit to Moscow.
The purpose of the visit is to conduct comprehensive consultations on bilateral and regional matters between Pakistan and Russia.
During the talks held between Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan and Russian officials, both sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation.
They particularly highlighted successful collaborations in the areas of trade, energy, and counter-terrorism efforts. The positive assessment underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthen their multifaceted partnership.

Both parties have also agreed to sustain a positive dialogue concerning regional matters, encompassing Afghanistan, and collaborate in multilateral forums such as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
