Kigali, 15 December, 2023 (GNP): Pakistan’s ambassador, Naeem Khan, met with Rwanda’s Interior Minister, Gasana Alfred, on Friday. Both sides engaged in productive discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral ties.
Pakistan’s High Commission in Rwanda posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the discussions were ‘fruitful’ and focused on enhancing mutual diplomatic cooperation across various sectors, including internal security, correctional services, MoU signings, trainings, and capacity building.

It was also agreed that Pakistan and Rwanda would engage in cross-level delegation exchanges to further bolster bilateral relations.

Rwanda’s Interior Minister, Gasana Alfred, expressed gratitude to Ambassador Naeem Khan for visiting the Rwandan Interior Ministry.
He also acknowledged the ‘fruitful discussions’ held to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two sides.
Pakistan-Rwanda Diplomatic Ties
Both Pakistan and Rwanda established diplomatic ties in 1971, and since then, their relationship has consistently grown across various sectors. Both countries maintain friendly ties based on mutual respect and cooperation.
Over the years, they have engaged in agreements and cooperation aimed at enhancing bilateral relations in different areas, including trade, security, diplomacy, and capacity building.
