Nuremberg, 2 October 2021 (GNP): The Pakistani comedian Umer Sharif passed away in Germany at the age of 66, on Saturday. At the time of his death, he was hospitalized in a hospital in Nuremberg. He was admitted after his worsening health condition on his way to the United States for his treatment in an air ambulance. The news is confirmed by his wife Zareen Ghazal.
The treatment of Umer Sharif was assisted by the federal and provincial governments of Pakistan. The deceased comedian and his wife were given a 15-day visa by Germany and were allowed to land in Berlin on humanitarian grounds.
Besides comedy, Umer Sharif has worked in production, direction, hosting, and acting. He was not only famous in Pakistan but also known in the sub-continent.
