Rawalpindi (GNP): Two-week-long joint military exercises between Pakistan and Russia, and separately between Pakistan and Oman, have kicked off in Pabbi.
The ninth edition of the Pakistan-Russia joint exercise Druzhba-IX began at Cherat, while the second edition of the Pakistan-Oman exercise Washaq Al Jabal-II (Mountain Lynx-II) got underway simultaneously at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi.
Over the coming two weeks, contingents from the Pakistan Army will train alongside counterparts from the Russian Army and the Royal Army of Oman, working to exchange operational experience, sharpen counter-terrorism techniques and procedures, and improve coordination between the participating forces.
Through joint training sessions and the sharing of best practices, troops from all sides aim to enhance their combat readiness and tactical skills, while further deepening defence cooperation between Pakistan and its partner nations.
