Pakistan IT Exports Climb 21% as PSEB Courts US Firms

Dallas (GNP): Pakistan’s information technology (IT) exports have grown by an average of about 21% a year over the past four years, reaching around $435 million in September 2026. The figures come from Faisal Jeddy, chief executive of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).

Jeddy shared the numbers at the Pak-US Tech Connect 2026 conference in Dallas, Texas. He said the United States accounts for about 57% of Pakistan’s IT exports, which makes it the country’s largest technology export market.

That dependence explains the focus of the conference. Jeddy urged Pakistani-American professionals to help build corporate connections and commercial partnerships between technology companies in both countries.

He also pointed to the talent behind the growth. Pakistan produces around 70,000 IT and computer science graduates every year, which supports expertise in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, financial technology and enterprise solutions.

Jeddy said PSEB will continue to support investors and to address operational challenges. It will do so in coordination with relevant institutions, including the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, backed the same message. He highlighted the country’s growing technology potential and its young workforce.

The ambassador noted that about 60 to 65% of Pakistan’s population is under 30, which gives the country an opportunity to build a competitive digital economy. He encouraged overseas Pakistanis to strengthen business ties and to promote Pakistan as a reliable technology partner.

The 2026 Pak-US Tech Connect series features around 13 to 14 established Pakistani technology companies. They are seeking commercially meaningful partnerships with American businesses.

The Dallas event brought together Pakistani technology firms, US corporate executives, investors and members of the Pakistani-American community. Participants attended company presentations and business-to-business meetings on investment, technology services and strategic cooperation.

The conference was organised in collaboration with Pakistan’s diplomatic missions in the United States, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, PSEB and OPEN Global.
