Pakistan Embassy Marks Independence Day in Tashkent

Tashkent (GNP): Pakistan’s Embassy in Uzbekistan marked the 79th anniversary of the country’s Independence Day with a ceremony attended by members of the local Pakistani community, who gathered to take part in the celebrations.

The event opened with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the reading of messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, setting the tone for a program centered on national pride and reflection.

Continuing this spirit, attendees paid tribute to the country’s founding leaders, with particular emphasis on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, whose vision remains central to the occasion each year.

As part of the tribute, a documentary on Quaid-e-Azam’s life, vision, and legacy was screened for those present, offering a deeper look at the principles that shaped the country’s founding.

Following the screening, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, addressed attendees directly, extending warm greetings to the Pakistani community and describing Independence Day as a reminder of the sacrifices made by earlier generations in securing the country’s freedom.

Building on this message, Ambassador Tipu noted that the occasion also carries a shared responsibility, one that calls on Pakistanis both at home and abroad to uphold the ideals of the country’s founding fathers and to continue contributing toward a stronger, more prosperous Pakistan.

The ceremony closed on this note of collective duty, tying the day’s tributes to the past with a forward-looking call to action for the community moving forward.
