Islamabad, 12 May 2023, (GNP): Parliamentary delegation of Oman visited Pakistan on Thursday to attend international constitutional convention arranged by the National Assembly of Pakistan with reference to the Golden Jubilee celebration of Constitution.
Talking to the Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Oman Sheikh Dr. Al-Khattab bin Ghalib, the Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf said that Pakistan and Oman deeply and cordially enjoy socio-economic ties.
Adding to the discussion he said that Pakistani diaspora in Oman has been playing a significant role in developing brotherhood and socio-economic ties between the two nations. The speaker National Assembly also appreciated the participation of Oman in the celebration of Golden Jubilee of constitution.

The discussion was held to consider the nature of cordial ties between the two countries. Both countries appreciated the efforts of a deep historic relationship based on common principles of faith, cultures, and traditions.
The speaker National Assembly praised Oman’s viable role in strengthening stability and peace in the region. He also appreciated Oman’s efforts in hosting a large number of Pakistani working communities.
Dr. Al-Khattab also appreciated the thoughts and remarks of the speaker by calling Oman and Pakistan brotherly states.
He has also expressed the need to establish greater parliamentary contacts via the Parliamentary Friendship Group to enhance and build future avenues of cooperation in diverse sectors particularly focusing on climate change and its related measures.
