Pakistan Finalizes OIC Women Conference Preparations

During the meeting, participants carried out a comprehensive review of the final preparations for the OIC Women Conference. Officials discussed the draft programme, conference agenda, protocol arrangements, security planning, logistical preparations, media strategy, communication planning, and inter ministerial coordination.

The committee also examined organizational matters to ensure that all participating delegations receive appropriate support throughout the conference. Senior officials emphasized that careful planning and close cooperation among all concerned institutions are essential for delivering a successful international event that reflects Pakistan’s commitment to effective diplomacy and international cooperation.

Chairing the meeting, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar appreciated the progress made by the Ministry of Human Rights and acknowledged the efforts of all institutions involved in the preparations. He directed every relevant ministry and department to maintain close coordination and complete all remaining tasks within the required timelines.

He stressed that the successful organization of the OIC Women Conference depends upon efficient teamwork, timely implementation of responsibilities, and continuous communication among all stakeholders. He also instructed officials to ensure that every administrative and operational arrangement meets international standards for hosting foreign delegations.

The committee discussed measures to facilitate the smooth arrival, accommodation, transportation, and participation of delegates attending the OIC Women Conference. Special attention was given to security arrangements, venue management, media coverage, and communication mechanisms to ensure that the conference proceeds without disruption.

Officials also reviewed plans for protocol services and coordination among different government institutions responsible for hosting the international gathering. Participants agreed that effective planning and detailed coordination would contribute significantly to the overall success of the conference while presenting Pakistan as a responsible and capable host for major international events.

The OIC Women Conference is expected to provide an important platform for ministers, policymakers, and senior representatives from member states to exchange views on women’s empowerment, inclusive development, education, economic participation, and sustainable progress.

The conference aims to strengthen cooperation among member countries by encouraging dialogue on policies and initiatives that improve opportunities for women across the Islamic world. Officials noted that the gathering will also promote stronger partnerships among OIC member states while encouraging collaborative efforts to address common social and developmental challenges.

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications Shaza Fatima, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, Secretary Human Rights Abdul Khaliq Shaikh, and other senior government officials.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that every aspect of the OIC Women Conference is completed according to schedule and in accordance with international diplomatic standards. They also emphasized the importance of presenting Pakistan’s organizational capabilities and hospitality to delegates from across the Muslim world.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all participating institutions to work together for the successful organization of the OIC Women Conference. The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated that the conference represents an important opportunity for Pakistan to strengthen cooperation within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation while promoting dialogue on women’s empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable development. Officials expressed confidence that through effective planning, strong coordination, and timely execution of all arrangements, Pakistan will successfully host the conference and further reinforce its constructive role in regional and international diplomatic engagement.
