Washington DC, 12 January 2023 (GNP): The American film production studio has announced its super hit show, Wednesday, which will be renewed for another season. After the end of the spin-off series of ‘The Addams Family back in December 2022, fans had been anticipating news about the renewal of season 1.
On 6 January 2023, Netflix released a trailer for season 2 on its YouTube Channel. However, apart from addressing how Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega) has been ‘mimicked millions of times across the internet’, the trailer revealed didn’t reveal any specific date on which the new season will air.
Furthermore, no speculations about its release date can be made at this point in time as there has been no confirmation about when production is starting for season two.
Even though no specific date of release has been announced, it has been confirmed that there will be no changes in the cast for the new season.
Upon hearing the announcement for a new season, the cast of Wednesday has also addressed their fans and expressed their views on social media.

Jenna Ortega, the actress playing ‘Wednesday’ wrote on Twitter:
“Thanks to everyone who made this upcoming season possible. This has all been pretty surreal.”
Alfred Gough and Miles Miller said in a statement to the press media about the new season:
“Thrilled to continue Wednesday’s tortuous journey into season two. We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky spooky world of Nevermore. Just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.”
Catherine Zeta-Jones who played Wednesday’s mother in the series reacted to the announcement on Instagram stating: “So there you have it!!!! The best news! … P.S. Wednesday nearly smiled…it’s that good.”
