Islamabad (GNP): The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting released two new patriotic songs to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day on August 14, celebrating the nation’s unity, resilience, and continued progress across multiple fields.
The first release, titled “Yeh Watan Yeh Chaman Ta Qayamat Rahe,” centers on themes of brotherhood and national solidarity. The song expresses hope that the bonds holding the nation together, and the homeland itself, endure for generations to come.
It touches on the country’s ability to overcome attempts to undermine it, framing this resilience as a source of pride, and celebrates the national flag being raised high on the world stage as a symbol of that strength. Throughout, the song carries a tone of steadfastness, courage, and collective hope for the country’s continued wellbeing.
The second song, titled “Hamein Haarna Nahi Aata,” takes a more defiant and forward-looking tone, built around the idea of a nation that refuses to be held back or defeated by hardship.
Its lyrics speak to resilience through difficulty, free will, and independent thought, framing the Pakistani people as active shapers of their own history rather than passive observers of it.
The song repeatedly returns to the idea that neither darkness, storms, nor obstacles can shake the nation’s resolve, reinforcing a sense of determination that runs through the entire piece.

According to the Ministry, “Hamein Haarna Nahi Aata” was created as a tribute to Pakistan’s journey since 1947, connecting the sacrifices of the independence movement to the country’s more recent achievements in technology, defense, sports, and economic development.
The Ministry described the song as a reflection of the nation’s determination to keep moving forward regardless of the challenges it faces.
Together, the two releases were positioned by the Ministry as a tribute to the legacy of Pakistan’s founders, the service of its defenders, and the potential of its younger generation.
Both songs, while differing in tone, one reflective and unifying, the other bold and defiant, reinforce the same broader message of national pride that has defined this year’s Independence Day observances.
