Korean embassy celebrated 40 years of diplomatic relations with Pakistan

Islamabad, 31 October, 2023 (GNP): The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Islamabad commemorated a significant milestone in its diplomatic journey, celebrating the National Foundation Day and the Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Korea.

This special occasion also marked the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Pakistan. The distinguished event took place at the residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea.

The celebration was graced by notable dignitaries, including Muhammad Sami Saeed, the Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, who attended as the Chief Guest.  Murtaza Solangi, the Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting,. Kamran Tessori, the Governor of Sindh,  Ahmed Hanif Orakzai, the Federal Secretary for Interprovincial Coordination, Senator Zeeshan Khanzada, Senator Keeshoo Bai, and Ameer Khurram Rathore, the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were also present at the event.

In his remarks, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to national progress.

He highlighted Korea’s extensive experience and technological advancement, emphasizing their readiness to support and collaborate with Pakistan in its endeavors.

The Ambassador stressed the importance of fostering a partnership that yields mutual benefits, harnessing the collective strengths of both nations to achieve even greater results.

The Ambassador further expressed the embassy’s dedication to realizing this shared vision, extending his gratitude for the continued support and goodwill as they embark on a new chapter of collaboration between Korea and Pakistan, commemorating 40 years of diplomatic relations. The celebration symbolized the deepening ties and shared aspirations between the two nations.
