Jahangir Tareen unveils Istehkam-i-Pakistan party, joined by PTI defectors.

Formerly a trusted associate of the PTI leader, Jahangir Khan Tareen has recently introduced a new political party called the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party (IPP).

Lahore, 8 June, 2023 (GNP): Jahangir Tareen, a key figure in the formation of the PTI-led government in 2018, held a press conference in Lahore on Thursday to announce the establishment of the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party.

In the presence of former PTI allies, including Aleem Khan, Imran Ismail, Tanveer Ilyas, and others who had parted ways with the party due to government actions, Tareen unveiled the new political party.

During the press conference, Tareen expressed his motivation for entering politics, emphasizing his dedication to the country’s betterment. He emphasized the urgent need for effective political leadership capable of addressing a wide range of pressing issues, including social, economic, and other concerns within Pakistan.

Tareen emphasized the significance of the events that occurred in May, considering them a turning point in Pakistani politics. He stressed the importance of holding accountable those responsible for the vandalism and called for leadership that could bridge political and social divisions, promote unity, tolerance, and provide a hopeful narrative for the nation.

With the aim of steering Pakistan out of its current challenges and healing its wounds, Tareen announced the establishment of the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party.
