Global News Pakistan and Iraq International News Agency Ink MOU

The agreement is aimed to boost Media Cooperation

Islamabad/London (TDI): Global News Pakistan (GNP) and the Iraq International News Agency (IINA) have formalized a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant milestone in media cooperation between the two agencies.

The agreement, signed by Muhammad Asif Noor, Chief Executive Officer of GNP, and Susan Hameed Majeed, Executive Director of IINA, underscores a mutual commitment to fostering the exchange of news, technical expertise, and collaborative initiatives.

The MOU aims to enhance the flow of objective and professional reporting across cultural, economic, trade, sports, and political domains, while promoting mutual understanding and strengthening media ties between Pakistan and Iraq.

Under the agreement, both agencies will exchange news services in English and Arabic, along with multimedia content, to broaden their editorial capabilities and provide comprehensive, reliable news coverage. This exchange is envisioned to enrich the content offerings of both organizations without duplicating or competing with existing services.

A key aspect of the partnership involves the facilitation of technical cooperation, enabling the seamless transmission of news via various digital platforms, including email and internet-based systems.

The agreement also emphasizes the accuracy and credibility of shared information, with both parties committed to maintaining the integrity of the content and ensuring proper attribution to the source.

Beyond news exchange, the collaboration seeks to open avenues for broader engagements, including expert training programs, mutual representation in events, promotion of tourism, and initiatives to strengthen diplomatic ties between the countries.

These efforts align with the shared vision of fostering understanding and cooperation in an increasingly interconnected world.

Both parties expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential to contribute to a more informed and connected global community.
