Gilani Conveys Greetings to Muslim Ummah on Eid Milad-un-Nabi

Islamabad (GNP):  Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the entire Muslim Ummah on the blessed and auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), saying that this sacred occasion provides us with an opportunity to renew our commitment to shape our individual and collective lives in accordance with the noble Seerah and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

In his special message, the Chairman Senate said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught humanity the values of patience and tolerance, justice and fairness, humility, compassion, love, brotherhood, harmony and peace. He said that the real solution to the challenges and difficulties confronting the Muslim Ummah today lies in embracing these timeless principles and making them an integral part of our practical lives.

He said that Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) reminds us to rise above our differences, promote unity and solidarity, eliminate hatred, and foster peace, love and brotherhood in society. He stressed the need to build our collective systems on the principles of justice, equality and fraternity so that a prosperous, peaceful and progressive society can be established.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani emphasized that on this blessed occasion, special attention should be given to the poor, orphans, destitute and deserving members of society, and that their support and care should be regarded as a collective responsibility. He said that the blessed life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is an embodiment of service to humanity, compassion and selflessness, and following these noble values is one of the greatest needs of our time.

The Chairman Senate said that it is our collective responsibility to acquaint the younger generation with the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) so that our youth may develop the virtues of high moral character, honesty, tolerance, a sense of responsibility and self-sacrifice, enabling them to become a valuable asset for the country and the nation.

He said that, in the prevailing circumstances, we must rise above political affiliations and personal interests and move forward with unity and a shared commitment to national interests and the service of the poor and underprivileged people. He emphasized that unity, brotherhood and mutual cooperation are essential for steering the country towards the path of development, prosperity and stability.

The Chairman Senate prayed that Allah Almighty, through the blessings of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), may shower His special mercy upon the Muslim Ummah and all humanity; bring an end to conflicts, tensions, unrest and security challenges confronting the world; and bless the Muslim world and the entire humanity with peace, progress, prosperity and brotherhood.
