“China on a New Journey: A New Chapter of Development for a Happy New Tibet”

Beijing, 20 October 2021 (GNP/ TDI): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China organized an event to present the Tibet Autonomous Region to the world. Tibet is situated in southwest China. The event was themed “China on a New Journey: A New Chapter of Development for a Happy New Tibet”. Earlier this month, China celebrated 70 years of diplomatic ties with Pakistan.

Tibet is at the highest altitude. It is branded as the roof of the world. It possesses majestic beauty and mesmerizing snow plateaus. The event presented the journey of transformation and development of a multi-ethnic Tibet.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Wang Yi hosted the event. He said that this year is significant for the development of Tibet. The relentless efforts of the Communist Party of China (CPC) under the leadership of Xi Jinping has rejuvenated and liberated the region. Consequently, it has gone through an epic transformation and a miraculous development.

The region has become the epitome of China’s development because of accelerated economic growth. As a result, the people of the region are enjoying prosperity. Tibet represents the progress of China in democracy and human rights. Moreover, people of all ethnic groups enjoy equal rights and religious freedom.

Furthermore, Tibet is the embodiment of China’s cooperation and opening up. From 2016 to 2020, Tibet hosted approximately 160 million Chinese and foreign tourists. The region symbolizes the irrefutable rise of China.

China will continue to promote economic and social development in Tibet. It will expand cooperation with neighboring countries as well as the world. China aims for Tibet to become a forerunner in international ecological conservation; whilst ensuring the security of the region.

Several diplomatic envoys to China attended the event. Representatives of international organizations in China were also present.
