National Day of the UAE:

The National Day of the United Arab Emirates holds significant historical importance, dating back to December 2, 1971, when rulers of six emirates convened in the city of Dubai to establish a unified country.

At that time, the emirates were under British protection, known as the Trucial states. However, with the expiration of the treaty with the British, the six leaders signed the Declaration of Union, thus establishing the United Arab Emirates as an independent and sovereign state.

The National Day of the UAE symbolizes unity and solidarity among the Emirati people.
