Dubai, 31, July, 2023 (GNP): The first female prime minister of Pakistan and the Islamic world, the late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s wax statue was placed with the world’s notable leaders at the Madame Tussauds in Dubai on Sunday.
Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was the first woman who became the prime minister of Pakistan twice. She was assassinated in a gun and bomb attack on 27, December 2007, when she was leaving the venue after her political party’s last rally in Rawalpindi, two weeks prior to the scheduled general election of 2008.
The foreign minister of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended the unveiling ceremony of his late mother’s wax figure at the Madame Tussauds Museum in Dubai. He was in the UAE on an official visit.

While addressing the unveiling ceremony, he said “I am very thankful to Madame Tussauds for having us here today.” He insisted that unveiling the monument of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto at the Madame Tussauds in Dubai was indeed an honor and privilege. The foreign minister claimed that he had seen this statue for the very first time at the wax museum in London.
Bilawal recalled his memories and said that his late mother had lived in Dubai for ten years during their exile period, “So, we have a close attachment to the city and the country,” he added.

Moreover, Bilawal showed his heartfelt gratitude towards the official body of the museum for giving an excellent tribute in the form of a wax statue to his late mother.
“She is a symbol of democracy, freedom, and equal rights for women across the world in the peaceful, prosperous, and progressive face of Pakistan,” he said.
