Earlier this year, the ACC approved a hybrid model for the Asia Cup, presented by former PCB Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi. The hybrid model entails two phases, with the first phase held in Pakistan and the second phase in Sri Lanka.

The finalized schedule was the result of a meeting between Zaka Ashraf, the successor of Najam Sethi, and Jay Shah on the sidelines of the Chief Executives’ Committee (CEC) meeting during the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) annual session in Durban, South Africa, last week.
