Jeddah Turns Gulf Cup Into a 14-Day Tourism Carnival

Jeddah (GNP): The 27th Arabian Gulf Cup has turned Jeddah into a tourism carnival for 14 days. The tournament’s impact stretched well beyond the pitches at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City.

It offered visitors a glimpse of the city as a destination for global culture and entertainment. The football was the main draw, but the city itself became part of the attraction.

The story did not end with the final whistle. The Saudi national team lifted the trophy, and the celebrations then moved from the stadium to the waterfront.

ROSHN Waterfront welcomed the Green Falcons as players arrived to celebrate the title with fans. The scene gave supporters a chance to share the win with the team away from the stands.

Away from the waterfront, Historic Jeddah told its own story. During the tournament, visitors who came to support their national teams walked through the lanes and old neighbourhoods and shared moments with residents.

Those encounters produced scenes of culture, art and social life. Together, they captured the spirit of the city in a way the matches alone could not.

Getting around was part of the experience too. A water taxi took visitors and tourists across the sea, past the city’s landmarks and waterfront restaurants.

The service combined smart transportation with the natural beauty of the Red Sea, the coastal setting that defines Jeddah.

All of this supports the city’s wider ambition. Jeddah continues to strengthen its position as a global destination able to host major events across a range of fields.

Modern infrastructure and public facilities back that position. A well-developed public transport network also links the city with the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah through the Haramain High Speed Railway.
