US envoy on COVID-19 vaccine awareness campaign in Karachi

Karachi, 17 October 2021 (GNP/TDI): Consular General of the United States Consulate in Karachi, Mark Stroh, visited Expo Center Karachi as part of the COVID-19 vaccine awareness campaign. He was also accompanied by the veteran actor Faysal Qureshi.

The United States and Sindh government have jointly launched a COVID-19 vaccine awareness program named “Fizaaon se Falaah Tak”. Consular General Mark Stroh interacted with people and encouraged them to get COVID-19 jabs.

He also appreciated the health care workers and acclaimed their assiduous service in combating the pandemic. Moreover, he congratulated Pakistan on receiving Pfizer vaccines.

The United States has supplied 15.8 million COVID-19 vaccines to Pakistan since July 2021. The country will receive Another consignment of 9.6 million Pfizer doses this month.

Additionally, Washington has provided $63million to Pakistan in COVID-19 assistance in form of medical supplies such as personal protective equipment, ventilators, and medical infrastructure.
