Islamabad (GNP): Pakistani actor Mahira Khan is expecting her second child, and the baby will be her first with her husband, businessman Salim Karim.
Khan shared the news earlier this month with a photograph showing her baby bump, taken while she was attending the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Canada. The announcement has opened a new chapter in her family life, coming nearly three years after her wedding to Karim in October 2023.
The couple married in an intimate ceremony in Bhurban, following a relationship Khan had spoken about publicly. Karim is a businessman and entrepreneur based in Pakistan.
It is Khan’s second marriage. She was previously married to Ali Askari, whom she wed in 2007. The couple later separated, and their marriage ended in divorce in 2015.

Her son Azlan was born from that first marriage and is now a teenager. He also played a prominent role at her second wedding, walking his mother down the aisle. Khan has described him as central to her life and has spoken about the importance of their bond.
The coming baby will be a different experience for her. Khan has said this pregnancy feels different from her first, when she was in her mid-20s.
The news adds to the life of one of Pakistan’s best-known actors, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2016 film Raees. Her major Pakistani projects include Humsafar, Shehr-e-Zaat, Sadqay Tumhare, Superstar and The Legend of Maula Jatt.
Khan said in her post, “We make plans, and then there is ALLAH’S plan.”
