PM Reaffirms Pakistan's Commitment to Deepening Ties with France

Islamabad (GNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to further strengthen its long-standing relationship with France through greater political engagement, economic cooperation, development partnerships, and cultural exchange.

During a farewell meeting with outgoing French Ambassador to Pakistan Nicolas Galey, the Prime Minister acknowledged the Ambassador’s contributions toward advancing Pakistan-France relations throughout his tenure.

Both sides agreed on the value of maintaining regular high-level engagement and continuing to work together on regional and global matters of shared concern.

Sharif extended his warm regards to French President Emmanuel Macron and wished Ambassador Galey continued success in his future endeavors.

In response, Ambassador Galey expressed gratitude for the support he received during his time in Pakistan, saying he valued the opportunity to contribute to strengthening bilateral ties. He reaffirmed France’s recognition of the State of Palestine and its broader support for movements worldwide advocating for human rights.

Galey also commended Pakistan’s role in the recent US-Iran conflict, describing Pakistan’s handling of the situation as skillfully managed and praising the country’s overall approach.
