Islamabad (GNP): CARE Pakistan organized its flagship event, Partners for Impact Building Pakistan’s Future Together, bringing together senior representatives from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, international development partners, financial institutions, leading corporations, and civil society organizations to strengthen collaboration on climate resilience and Women’s Empowerment.
The event served as a platform for dialogue, partnership, and innovation, focusing on practical solutions to Pakistan’s growing development challenges. Participants emphasized that stronger cooperation between government institutions, businesses, development organizations, and communities is essential for creating sustainable development and improving the lives of vulnerable populations across the country.
Opening the event, CARE Pakistan Country Director Adil Sheraz highlighted the importance of collective action in responding to Pakistan’s changing social, economic, and environmental challenges. He stated that issues such as climate change and economic inequality are too complex to be addressed by a single organization.
He stressed that Women’s Empowerment must remain at the centre of development efforts because communities cannot become resilient when women are excluded from economic opportunities. He further said that sustainable economic growth and climate action depend on meaningful partnerships that place local communities at the heart of decision making while encouraging inclusive participation from all sectors of society.
The event also featured keynote addresses from development experts who stressed the importance of partnerships in creating long term solutions. Gul Najam Jamy from the World Bank stated that addressing climate change, creating employment opportunities, and promoting Women’s Empowerment require governments, private companies, civil society organizations, and development partners to work together.
He explained that stronger collaboration can mobilize investment, unlock financial resources, and accelerate inclusive economic growth. Participants agreed that coordinated efforts are necessary to build resilient communities while ensuring that women have equal access to economic opportunities and leadership roles.
One of the major highlights of the event was a panel discussion on climate resilience, where experts from Meezan Bank, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, QA Solar, and Syngenta discussed ways to strengthen climate smart agriculture, expand renewable energy, improve resilient infrastructure, and promote environmentally responsible business practices. The speakers highlighted the importance of financing climate adaptation projects and encouraging innovation through public and private partnerships. They noted that sustainable environmental solutions can improve livelihoods while supporting long term economic development for communities affected by climate related challenges.
Another panel discussion focused on Women’s Empowerment by exploring practical ways to increase women’s participation in the economy through digital inclusion, entrepreneurship, skills development, leadership, and inclusive workplace policies. Representatives from JazzWorld, The Coca Cola Company, CrossRoad Consultants, Packages Group, and GIZ Pakistan shared experiences on creating opportunities for women across different sectors. The discussion emphasized that investing in women strengthens families, businesses, and communities while contributing to sustainable national development. Participants also highlighted the importance of removing barriers that limit women’s access to education, employment, finance, and leadership positions.
During the discussion, Munawar Sultana from GIZ Pakistan stated that creating sustainable employment opportunities for women requires demand driven skills development, strong partnerships, and inclusive approaches that address structural barriers to women’s participation in the workforce.

The event concluded with participating organizations reaffirming their commitment to strengthening partnerships that promote Women’s Empowerment, climate resilience, and inclusive economic development across Pakistan. Participants agreed that closer cooperation among government institutions, financial organizations, businesses, civil society, and development partners is essential for addressing the country’s future challenges.
CARE Pakistan also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities through long term humanitarian and development programmes. Since beginning its operations in Pakistan in two thousand five, the organization has continued working across the country to reduce poverty, create opportunities for self reliance, and support sustainable development through collaborative partnerships that leave no community behind.
