PST Departs for Asian Doubles Championship 2026

Islamabad (GNP): The Pakistan Squash Team (PST) has left Islamabad International Airport for the 3rd Asian Doubles Squash Championships 2026, set to take place in Sarawak, Malaysia from June 18-21, 2026.

Air Commodore (R) Amir Nawaz, Secretary PSF, is leading the delegation along with Head Coach Fahim Gul.

Pakistan is fielding two teams for the event. The first pairs Noor Zaman, the 2025 World Junior Champion U-23, with Nasir Iqbal, one of Pakistan’s most experienced players. The second brings together Hamza Khan, World Junior Champion in 2023, and Muhammad Asim Khan, another seasoned member of the national squad.

Pakistan had sent a single team to last year’s edition of the championship, also held in Sarawak, and came away with a silver medal. Best wishes go out to the players ahead of this year’s competition.

Separately, in May 2025, Pakistan’s young squash talents returned to a warm welcome at Islamabad International Airport after claiming five medals at the 33rd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships 2026. Officials from the Pakistan Squash Federation and a crowd of supporters gathered at the airport to celebrate the team’s performance.
