Islamabad (GNP): Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, held a meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office with Kevin Frey, Chief Executive Officer of Generation Unlimited, and Pernille Ironside, UNICEF Country Representative in Pakistan.
The meeting was Chaired by Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Porgramme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan and attended by senior representatives from PMYP and UNICEF. The Meeting was focused on strengthening collaboration for youth development in Pakistan.
The discussion centered on expanding opportunities for young people through digital inclusion, skills development, and employment-focused initiatives.
A key highlight of the meeting was the remarkable growth of the Digital Youth Hub, which has now surpassed 800,000 registered users, demonstrating strong youth engagement and growing demand for digital learning and opportunity platforms.

Kevin Frey commended the progress achieved through the Digital Youth Hub, noting that its expanding reach reflects the aspirations and active participation of Pakistan’s youth.
He emphasized the importance of equipping young people with entrepreneurial, digital, and future-ready skills to enhance employability and foster innovation.

Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan highlighted Pakistan’s large youth population as a strategic national asset and underscored the need for sustained investments in skills development, employment generation, and youth empowerment.
He also briefed the delegation on key policy initiatives being advanced under PMYP, including the National Youth Employment Policy and the National Adolescent and Youth Policy, aimed at creating an enabling environment for young people to thrive.
Both sides recognized the Digital Youth Hub as a transformative platform connecting youth with learning resources, employment opportunities, mentorship, and career development pathways. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening partnerships that support inclusive youth development and economic participation.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to further deepen collaboration between PMYP, Generation Unlimited, and UNICEF in advancing youth empowerment, digital access, skills development, and sustainable employment opportunities across Pakistan.
