Tech Valley-MOFEPT Launches AI-Powered Canva Training

Islamabad (GNP): Tech Valley Pakistan, the official partner for Canva for Education in Pakistan, has commenced an AI-focused Canva for Education training program to prepare the workforce of future teachers. The training is tailored for school heads and IT teachers, scheduled from May 11th to 14th, under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE). This specialized capacity-building initiative integrates modern, AI-powered design tools into classrooms, fostering digital creativity and elevating teaching methodologies across the capital’s public school system.

The current training rollout serves as the actionable framework following a landmark Letter of Understanding (LOU) signed earlier this year between Tech Valley Pakistan and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MOFEPT). The signing ceremony was chaired by Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training.

Through this expansive collaboration, federal education institutions in Islamabad are receiving 100% free access to Canva for Education, providing Canva’s premium creative features and its advanced AI suite to prepare students and educators for global standards.

“Our commitment to the FDE Quality Education and Innovation Roadmap is deeply rooted in providing our students and educators with future-ready tools,” stated Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training. “By integrating a globally recognized platform like Canva for Education into our federal schools, we are fundamentally transforming how knowledge is shared and understood. These targeted trainings ensure our school leadership and IT faculty are fully equipped for the digital future, inspiring a new generation of creative thinkers.”

As the technical bridge for this nationwide initiative, Tech Valley is facilitating seamless integration for participating schools. Furthermore, Tech Valley is spearheading a structured “Canva Champion Program,” designed to train and certify selected educators as master trainers. This train-the-trainer model ensures that essential digital skills and AI proficiencies remain sustainably embedded within the institutions long after the initial sessions conclude.

“Our team is on a mission to help FDE School Heads and IT Teachers across Islamabad to actually use modern tools in their classrooms,” said Yasir Khan, Director, Deployments and PD at Tech Valley. “Canva for Education is powerful. It blends AI and design seamlessly. But we’re not just teaching software; we’re handing them a canvas for real creativity for vibrant, engaging, and practical teaching; that’s what we’re bringing to local schools.”

This partnership directly aligns with the broader FDE Quality Education & Innovation Roadmap, reinforcing a shared commitment between the government and private sector tech leaders to empower educators and students through sustainable, innovative, and highly accessible digital tools, ultimately helping to cultivate the workforce of the future and readying our youth for the modern global economy.
