Colombo :- ICC T20 World Cup, India beat Pakistan by 61 runs, Batting first, India scored 175 runs for the loss of seven wickets in allotted twenty overs.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. India set 176-run target for Pakistan. Ishan Kishan made 74 runs while Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 32 runs.
Earlier, India set 176-run target for Pakistan. Captain Salman Ali Agha made an early breakthrough, striking in the opening over to dismiss Abhishek Sharma for a duck. However, Kishan counterattacked with a flurry of boundaries to steady the innings and shift the momentum back in India’s favour.
The wicketkeeper-batter anchored India’s recovery with a fluent 77 off 40 deliveries, smashing 10 fours and three sixes before eventually falling to Ayub’s spin.
Saim Ayub took three wickets for just conceding 25 runs in four overs while Usman Tariq, Salman Agha and Shaheen Afridi took one wicket each.
In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 114 runs in the 18th over.
