27th IEEE INMIC provided a key platform for researchers, Academia

Riphah University Hosts 27th IEEE INMIC Conference on Emerging Technologies

Islamabad :  Faculty of Computing at Riphah International University (RIU) hosted the 27th IEEE International Conference on Multi-Topic (INMIC 2025), bringing together leading academics, researchers and professionals to discuss emerging trends in computing, artificial intelligence and technological innovation.

The two-day international conference was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of Riphah International University, who underscored the growing importance of interdisciplinary research and the role of universities in responding to global technological challenges.

Distinguished Guests of Honor included Prof. Dr. Khalid Malik of the University of Michigan–Flint, USA, and Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Vice Chancellor of Salim Habib University, Karachi, whose participation added both academic depth and international perspective to the event.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair highlighted the transformative role of technology in an increasingly interconnected and multicultural world, emphasizing the need for collaborative research to address complex societal issues.

The conference featured keynote addresses by prominent scholars Dr. Mohamed Wiem Mkaouer (University of Michigan–Flint, USA) and Prof. Dr. Bernard J. Jansen from the Water Computing Research Institute, who shared insights into current developments and future directions in computing and artificial intelligence.

A special talk by Prof. Dr. Nosherwan Shoaib, Chair of the IEEE Islamabad Section, focused on AI-driven technological transformations and their expanding impact on the global digital ecosystem.

One of the highlights of the conference was a panel discussion titled “Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges,” featuring Prof. Saad Naeem Zafar, Prof. Dr. Yasir Ayyaz and Prof. Dr. Naveed Ikram. The panel examined the practical applications of AI, ethical considerations and the challenges associated with its rapid adoption.

The 27th IEEE INMIC 2025 provided a key platform for researchers, faculty members and industry professionals to exchange ideas, strengthen academic collaboration and contribute to shaping the future of computing and intelligent systems.
