CM KPK Inaugurated Criminology Institute at UoP

Islamabad, 22 December 2022 (GNP): On Wednesday, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mahmood Khan, initiated the newly functioned Criminology Institute and forensic science at the University of Peshawar (UoP) and granted Rs3.23 billion for the other various project from the uplift program phase-2.

The Chief Minister also released funds for technology development in the Agricultural UoP Technology Department.

The total cost of the Criminology Institution has been Rs180 million, where recently two programs have been running i.e. M.Sc and BS in Criminology Department. The total number of students enrolled in the Institute is 274.

There also embark new programs, such as Ph.D. and MS/MPhil criminology, and some diploma-type Degrees like criminal forensic investigation and cyber security.

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also launched the Hayatabad trail under the Peshawar uplift program phase-ll, which cost an estimated Rs1.22 billion, will be completed.

There would be established some programs under the same project, like a 6-Kilo meter Bicycle and walking track along with service areas with five various sites.

The construction of a green belt, public toilets, a plantation, a tuck shop, a futsal field, a basketball, and an outdoor badminton gym also included the same project.

In this way, the Chief Minister also functionalized the groundbreaking, University Road, University Town, including markhor square, Iqra square, and a walkway in front of the town market; these are all part of the same project the expenditure estimated 160.95million, which various construction have been planned throughout the uplift projects.

Somehow physically started work for the improvement of the University of Peshawar Road  Footpath, Car parking, and public toilets with a total cost of 140 million.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the technology development center at Agricultural University, which to included a further four sub-centers which would be constructed under this project; there will be a horticulture center, an Animal husbandry Centre, a Climate change Centre and a business incubation center.

He said that his project would be beneficial for the agriculture sector to output more production results with a minimum budget. 

The project gives to the university outreach program and also could be beneficial for cultural entrepreneurship where it facilitates their solution through technological equipment from the same Industries.
