Message from Federal Minister for Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar on International Day for Tolerance Message
Islamabad : “Today, as the world marks the International Day for Tolerance, we reaffirm our shared responsibility to uphold respect, understanding, and mutual acceptance. Tolerance is not merely a virtue; it is the foundation of peace, justice, and inclusive progress.
In Pakistan, our Constitution and national vision guarantee equal rights and dignity for every individual, regardless of faith, ethnicity, gender, or background. Our heritage, teachings of Islam, and the legacy of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah remind us that we are all citizens and equals of one nation.
Tolerance requires active engagement, accepting differences, learning from one another, and supporting communities in need. Under the mandate of the Ministry of Human Rights, Pakistan is committed to protecting vulnerable groups and fostering a society where justice, inclusion, and harmony prevail.
On this day, I call upon all citizens, institutions, media, and religious scholars to stand against intolerance, promote dialogue, and build a Pakistan where diversity is celebrated, unity is upheld, and dignity is guaranteed for all.
