
A Tribute Ceremony for the Tirich Mir Summit Team
Islamabad : Ambassador of Nepal stated that the Tirich Mir summit initiative is a significant step toward promoting adventure tourism in Pakistan.
The Ambassador of Nepal highlighted that the Tirich Mir summit initiative represents an important milestone in advancing adventure tourism in Pakistan. She noted that such high-altitude expeditions not only showcase the country’s vast potential for mountaineering and outdoor adventure but also help attract international climbers and trekkers. According to her, successful summits like Tirich Mir enhance Pakistan’s global image as a premier destination for adventure seekers and create new opportunities for tourism development, local communities, and the broader economy.
The concluding ceremony of the Tirich Mir summit was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority. Mountaineers who successfully summited the peak, trekkers who reached the base camp, and various tourism stakeholders participated in the event.
The ceremony was attended by Nepal’s Ambassador Rita Dhital, Honorary Consul General of Tunisia Imad Rasheed, Director General KP Culture & Tourism Authority Habibullah Arif, and other notable figures.

The DG Tourism Authority highlighted that Tirich Mir was summited for the first time by Pakistani climbers, which will encourage more international mountaineers to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. More than 70 trekkers and over 100 local porters were part of this activity.
Commemorative shields were distributed among the mountaineers and trekkers, and a statue of the Tirich Mir summiteer was also unveiled during the event.
