5Es framework roadmap to revive the economy of Pakistan

The 5Es framework would serve as a "North Star" for the socioeconomic development of Pakistan.

Islamabad, 10 June, 2023 (GNP): To revive the economy, the government has laid out a roadmap for the execution of numerous projects within the 5Es framework: exports, e-Pakistan, environment, energy and infrastructure, and equality and empowerment.

The 5Es framework, which was released on Friday, discusses the severe challenges to execution that will need to be overcome, including resistance from vested interests.

The corporate sector’s and civil society’s extensive involvement in the 5Es will guarantee that their achievement remains the primary goal for every subsequent government.

According to the document, a governance framework will be executed to ensure the supervision required for achieving short- and long-term goals.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marrium Aurangzeb said that the 5Es framework put forward by the Planning Ministry would prove to be a game changer for economic development in Pakistan.

The document claimed that the comprehensive, all-encompassing framework would serve as a “North Star” for the socioeconomic development of Pakistan, guiding it towards a prosperous future.

As per the document, Expanding exports will lead to sustainable economic growth by boosting foreign exchange reserves, maintaining exchange rate stability, and fostering value addition and innovative manufacturing.

By ensuring the availability of services that are accessible, affordable, credible, universal, and of high quality, the government is trying to improve the digital economy.
