Al Aqsa mosque opens for worshipers

Jerusalem,  1st June 2020 (GNP): Jerusalem Al Aqsa mosque opens for worshipers after remained closed since March due to the serious outbreak of the COVID-19.  This Ramadan and Eid were first for many years that the Holy Mosque was closed for prayers due to lockdown.  Similar to other countries in the region, Israel has eased the restrictions and public movement as the outbreak is slowing down.  Al Aqsa mosque is known to Muslims as Haram al sharif, it is under the custodianship of Jordan that controlled the West Bank and East Jerusalem up until the occupation by Israel in 1967. (GNP)
