Kazakhstan 27 May 2020 (GNP):  Gas supplies to China has to date decreased by 12-15% to 17-18 million cubic meters a day, Kazakh Energy Minister Nurlan Nogayev said.

The large- and medium-sized oil fields in Kazakhstan lowered production in view of Kazakhstan’s commitment under the OPEC+ deal, Kazakh Energy Minister said. In April, Kazakhstan has reduced natural gas supplies to China by 20-25%, after importer, PetroChina issued a force majeure notice to suppliers this month. Kazakhstan shipped 7.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas to China last year and planned to gradually increase shipments to 10 bcm a year.
