Thailand Embassy with MOFA Pakistan organized Green Cycling

The theme of the event was “Green Cycling”, which was arranged in celebration of the day of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Thailand and Pakistan.

Islamabad, 10 October 2021 (GNP): The Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad, jointly with Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Islamabad Cycling Association, organized a cycling event on Sunday, 10 October 2021,

The theme of the event was “Green Cycling”, which was arranged in celebration of the day of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Thailand and Pakistan.

The purpose of the cycling event was also to support Pakistan’s Green and Clean Initiative to overcome the ongoing global warming.

The participants included high-level officers from Thailand and Pakistan and Islamabad Cycling Association.

Mr. Chakkrid Krachaiwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan was leading Thai side, while Mr. Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, the Additional Secretary and Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan, was leading the Pakistani side.

The diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Thailand started on 10 October 1951. Since then Pakistan has had its embassy in Bangkok and Thailand maintains an embassy and a Consulate General in Pakistan, in Islamabad and Karachi respectively.
