Islamabad (GNP):- Cuban Embassy in the Pakistani capital had the honor of welcoming a group of young solidarity activists, members of the Mazdoor Kisann Party (Workers and Peasants Party), affiliated with the international network of the International People’s Assembly.
Cuban Ambassador and staff enjoyed interacting with the friends of solidarity who, at a time when the drums of war are beating everywhere and threats against the Caribbean island show no sign of ceasing, came to reaffirm their commitment to the largest of the Antilles.
The visitors acknowledged Cuba’s solidarity in the most remote places, the lives saved by its medical brigades, the humanistic spirit of Cubans in sharing what they have rather than what they have to spare, but above all, the dignity of not bowing to the relentless siege by the empire of the North.
During the visit, they donated a painting of Che by a young local artist, a gift that will be displayed in the Embassy. To cap off the visit, the visitors sealed the moment by presenting a joint declaration with the International Assembly of the Peoples. In it, they denounce the U.S. blockade and, at the same time, call from this country for firm solidarity with Cuba through all possible means and resources, just as the grateful people do.
