Prime Minister Met with Chinese Business Delegation

3 September 2019- (GNP):  Pakistan’s Prime Minister hold a meeting with a delegation of Chinese investors from around 100 Chinese investment companies, led by Mr. Javed Afridi at Governor House.  Most of the Chinese companies’ representatives were from Shandong Province. 

The investors said that Pakistan has huge investment potential in various sectors and the CPEC has further opened new avenues of cooperation for the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises. They also expressed their keen interest to explore the possibility of investment in various sectors of the country, the investors also expressed their willingness to invest with Small and Medium Enterprises of Gujranwala, Gujrat and Sialkot Triangle.

Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed the Chinese investors and business community and appreciated their eagerness to invest in the SME sector of Pakistan. The Prime Minister said that the present government is committed to ease of doing business for foreign investors, and streamlining the existing regulatory mechanism for investment to avoid wastage of time and resources for the prospective investors.

While assuring the visiting Chinese investors maximum facilitation, The Prime Minister said that the country has embarked on the path of prosperity and economic stability. the present Government is especially focusing on SMEs for  employment generation and poverty alleviation, he added.  

The Prime Minister stated that China is our close ally and friend, and it has always been there to support us. He reiterated that the Government of Pakistan will make it easier for Chinese investors to capitalize the huge investment potential of Pakistan.
