Islamabad (GNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan is determined to expand its cooperation with Bahrain in areas such as trade, investment, energy and human resource development.
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, paid a call on the Prime Minister while in Pakistan to co-chair the 3rd Session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
Shehbaz gave his visitor a warm welcome and sent his good wishes to Bahrain’s leadership and people. He said Pakistan greatly values the long-standing, brotherly relationship with Bahrain, which rests on shared values, mutual trust and close ties between the two peoples.
He voiced satisfaction with the upward course of relations and restated Pakistan’s resolve to broaden cooperation with Bahrain across a range of sectors.
Al Zayani passed on greetings from Bahrain’s leadership and confirmed his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation in areas of benefit to both sides.
The two sides discussed regional and international developments and agreed on the value of keeping up consultation and coordination on matters of shared interest. Al Zayani commended Pakistan’s constructive role and its mediation work to promote regional peace and stability.
The Prime Minister said he was confident the 3rd JMC session would give fresh momentum to bilateral cooperation and help deepen the wide-ranging partnership between the two countries.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere that reflected the close, long-standing fraternal ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.
