Islamabad,2 January, 2024 (GNP): In a demonstration of unwavering support for Palestinians facing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, Pakistan has dispatched its third consignment of relief goods.
On Monday, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani supervised the departure of the cargo, which includes 20 tonnes of crucial supplies such as medicines, surgical/medical items, hygiene kits, and dry rations.
The special Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft, departing from Nur Khan Airbase in Islamabad, carries the humanitarian aid, as highlighted in a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Upon arrival at Al Arish Airport in Egypt, the consignment is scheduled to be handed over to the Red Crescent for organized distribution to those in need.

During the sendoff ceremony, Foreign Minister Jilani characterized the consignment as a symbolic gesture of solidarity with the Palestinian community, particularly emphasizing its significance on the first day of the new calendar year.
He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people’s rightful and courageous pursuit of self-determination and stressed the urgent necessity for a ceasefire and unimpeded provision of humanitarian aid to the residents of occupied Gaza facing severe Israeli aggression.
Expressing gratitude at the ceremony, the Palestinian ambassador conveyed heartfelt thanks to the government and the people of Pakistan for their continuous support.
The ambassador specifically commended the notable act of demonstrating solidarity with the Palestinians, particularly on the significant occasion of marking the New Year.
