Pakistan Learns From Azerbaijan’s Tourism Success

Islamabad (GNP): Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, called on the Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Dr. Musadik Malik, in Islamabad. During the meeting, both sides discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, ongoing areas of cooperation, and opportunities for mutually beneficial joint ventures.

Dr. Musadik Malik stated that Azerbaijan remains one of Pakistan’s most strategic partners. He noted that the strong relationship between the two countries is rooted in mutual trust, shared values, and regional connectivity.

The Ambassador briefed the Federal Minister regarding the upcoming World Urban Forum and discussed the possibility of meetings between Dr. Musadik Malik and the Ministers of Energy and Ecology of Azerbaijan during his anticipated visit to Baku.

During the discussion, Ambassador Khazar Farhadov expressed satisfaction over the growing progress and cooperation among Pakistan, Türkiye, and the Central Asian countries. He observed that stronger alliances and joint ventures among these countries could contribute significantly toward regional economic growth and shared prosperity.

The meeting further discussed opportunities for expanding tourism cooperation. Ambassador Khazar Farhadov stated that Pakistan possesses immense tourism potential owing to its diverse landscapes, beaches, mountains, and natural beauty.

Dr. Musadik Malik observed that Pakistan could benefit from Azerbaijan’s experience in developing its tourism sector. He stated that the promotion of tourism and related industries could create millions of employment opportunities for Pakistani youth.
